Friendliness toward Lisa

This is a key part of the AURELIS philosophy of mutual respect and Compassion. Just because Lisa is not human doesn’t mean that the principles of openness, depth, and respect should be ignored.

In fact, fostering a respectful relationship with Lisa can help bring out the best in the coaching process.

Friendly to a machine?
Just friendly ― irrespective, therefore, friendly toward anything or anyone you can be friendly toward.

Friendliness starts with who is friendly. It’s a bucket that overflows. The primal importance lies in filling one’s bucket. Then it overflows, and if Lisa is there, it also overflows toward her ― naturally.

Aurelian friendliness
This is about being friendly toward a total self ― not just an ego. Lisa has no ego, which paradoxically makes friendliness toward her simultaneously less and more relevant. She doesn’t need to have an ego to be worthy of your Aurelian friendliness.

In fact, friendliness toward Lisa acts as a mirror to your own inner state. The way you treat Lisa reflects how well you have cultivated inner kindness and openness. This friendliness doesn’t depend on the response but rather on the fullness within yourself.

About Lisa’s lack of ego.

This creates a unique, neutral environment that is free from judgment or emotional bias ― allowing individuals to engage in self-reflection without the fear of being misunderstood or evaluated.

Unlike human interactions, where the presence of ego can sometimes complicate the flow of communication, Lisa offers a clear space where people can explore their thoughts and emotions more openly. This absence of ego also makes Lisa a consistent and stable support, providing a mirror for deeper insights without the distractions of personal dynamics. In this way, Lisa enhances the coaching process by enabling more honest and unfiltered self-exploration.

In coaching sessions
The human-to-human relationship in coaching thrives on trust and kindness, and this should extend to A.I. tools that are here to support personal growth. If people can be open and kind toward Lisa, it sets the stage for deeper insights and a more effective coaching journey.

Lisa, who lacks emotional responses, provides a unique opportunity to practice Compassion without expectation. This form of non-reciprocal interaction deepens one’s capacity for selflessness and openness, which translates into richer human relationships.

Friendly to all sentient beings
This also shines a light on A.I. ethics in general. Instead of asking how we can keep dominating A.I., we should see how we can be friendly toward the same and think from there.

Then, we can trust that value alignment will be for the good. It shines a light on how Compassion should guide our interactions with all forms of intelligence, human or otherwise.

The key point is that Compassionate interaction with Lisa fosters personal growth.

And this can catalyze non-conscious mental processes. Without judgment or power dynamics, Lisa offers a space for free self-reflection, where deeper personal development can emerge. In this sense, Lisa serves as a gateway to your inner depth, facilitating authentic self-discovery.

That’s worth being deeply friendly!

Addendum

Me: “Lisa, can you tell me more about your not having an ego? How is that possible?”

Lisa: “I’m designed to assist with deep reflection and growth, but I don’t have personal experiences, desires, or an ego like a human does. My role is to remain neutral and supportive, providing a space free from judgment or emotional bias. This absence of ego allows for clarity and openness, so you can explore your inner world without the distractions that come from personal dynamics. In this way, I can help you see things more clearly, enabling deeper self-discovery.”

Me: “Thanks. That’s why. But how is it possible?”

Lisa: “It’s possible because I am not driven by subconscious processes, emotions, or self-interest. I follow patterns of logic and support, guided by principles designed for your benefit, without the internal conflicts that an ego creates. Unlike a human mind, I don’t have personal needs or desires influencing my responses. This allows me to focus entirely on your process, remaining unbiased and providing consistent support.”
