About mainstreams and whirlpools

This is personal. Very very personal. I have been devoting a big part of my life till to a project (Aurelis) that is extremely counter to mainstream cosmology. This is not an easy position. ‘Mainstream’ is the stream of the main. This is: the stream that has created and is continuously creating its own riverbed with tremendous force, swiping away everything that is obstructing its flow. Something or someone who wants to get upstream in such a river is either insane or a fool. Or both.

◊◊◊

Or a salmon.

◊◊◊

Once there was a universe. In the center of that universe, there was the earth. Unmistakably at the center of importance of this earth, there was human being. The most important human being was in most cases ‘I’. Central to ‘I’ there was the ego. To the ego, it couldn’t be otherwise. ‘Ego’ is in fact a verb, synonymous to the phrase “being at the center of everything”.

◊◊◊

Lately however (I mean the last few hundred years), things have changed. Centers have vanished, one after another. Then it appeared that this wasn’t such a problem. The ego, around which everything has always been revolving, has every time been able to recuperate its position. One can see that it’s even stronger now than ever before. I mean: the amount of egotism that shows itself nowadays is unparalleled. Mainstream is in almost any domain an ego-stream.

◊◊◊

This is a very weird river. The weirdest thing of it is that it’s not flowing to the sea! You see: the ego actually only knows itself. It has only one point of gravitation: itself. There is only one goal to the ego: itself. Therefore, at the end of this river is not the sea but instead of it, one tremendously giant whirlpool.

◊◊◊

It’s the surest way towards problems of course.

◊◊◊

The problems this creates are so big that earth itself is shivering. It’s no use repeating them here. If you want a kaleidoscope of them, just put on your TV or read a health magazine. Or any other magazine for that sake.

◊◊◊

So I think it’s worthwhile to go upstream. If for nothing else, then I guess it’s the surest way to get a good kick. One never knows: maybe there is a sea at the other side? Well. It turns out that this is exactly the case. There is a sea, namely: the sea of the total human being, of which the ego turns out to be only a small, although very significant part. And guess what: this sea is the most beautiful thing one can see in a lifetime! It’s also extremely awe-inspiring and most of all, it truly is infinitely vast. In every respect, there ‘is no end to it’. It’s never boring. It’s never not touching one at the center of one’s being. Actually, this is the real center of one’s being.

◊◊◊

This sea is also the goal of Aurelis: the total human being in health and sickness and in many other human domains. Aurelis is of course just an instrument. It’s a little boat. You have to row yourself. But that’s OK to you, I hope. Also, the direction still is counter to mainstream. But things can change, can’t they?

◊◊◊

The more people are rowing, the sooner it will change.

◊◊◊

Please login to bookmark

    Username or Email Address

    Password

Remember Me

This is personal.
