Has anything meaning but meaning itself?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">People are in search of \u2018meaning\u2019. It\u2019s an age-old story. Males use to be more in search of the \u2018meaning of life\u2019. Females use to be more in search of the \u2018meaning of living\u2019. The latter being: the meaningfulness of everyday circumstances.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Is one more real than the other?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No, because actually nothing \u2018has meaning\u2019 in itself. Meaning is always \u2018in relation to\u2019. Something has \u2018meaning to me\u2019 &#8211; or to you &#8211;\u00a0 or to all humans &#8211; or to everything even. But never without a \u2018to\u2019. It just doesn\u2019t exist. Think about it for a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca\u00a0\u00a0 \u25ca\u25ca\u25ca\u00a0\u00a0 \u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<li>Meaning is not an attribute that is naturally attached to anything. Meaning doesn\u2019t exist without meaning-giving device. This is: you. So for instance in search of the meaning of life -I\u2019m male-, one will never find it outside oneself. One may of course \u2018find\u2019 it in some purpose, some ism, schism or phantism, but what is actually found will always be the projection of oneself, or better said, one\u2019s deeper self.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">There\u2019s nothing wrong with this.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This search for meaning, and its finding in anything outside oneself, is not a bad thing. If not for anything else, it gives energy, lots of energy: motivation to live, to create, to be inspired, to love even. Without \u2018meaning\u2019, there is no contact with the soul. There is only darkness, meaninglessness, feeling of guilt. There is no sense of future. There is depression.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Even so, it\u2019s not the end. Because of one simple truth: it\u2019s not the truth. This is among other things probably the reason why \u2018geniuses\u2019 in most cases lead tragic lives. They see through it, but through it they see its blackness. There IS no meaning outside itself!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is a blackness that no-one can live with.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">So if your intention is to become a genius, you\u2019d better not stop there. You could easily end up in psychiatry, getting and even pleading for \u2018medication\u2019 that closes the doors to blackness and at the same time to anything else. Not so good.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Yet the truth that is truly true, is at the same time so simple. Turn around. Look inside. Search meaning where it really exists: in the center of you. THEN go further, pass the center, go back outside and let the light of <em>true<\/em> meaning shine wherever you choose.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<li>I said it was simple. I was kidding a bit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u25ca\u25ca\u25ca<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">You might need some help with this. In this world, this culture, this conglomeration of paradigms, finding that kind of help is not easy. Fact is that an enormous current of thinking is going in the opposite direction as the one where you could even imagine a very real help in this. But please don\u2019t despair. You\u2019re in a room with a very big balloon All the air is inside the balloon. There is no air left for you. You\u2019re suffocating.
