Symbolism is invitation, from a to z. Invited is deeper meaning. \u2018How-to\u2019 should be sought at this level, bringing the symbol ever closer to YOU.<\/h3>\n

This text is about your<\/em> experience.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is not about any superficial kind of better or worse. It\u2019s your<\/em> doing, your<\/em> experience, your<\/em> depth.<\/p>\n

Do something else and the experience has gone.<\/p>\n

Not putting \u2018things\u2019 in the way<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Anything that is not strictly needed in a symbolic context should be turned around seven times before gracefully removing it. If needed, again and again.<\/p>\n

At a deeper level, the fact that something is standing in your<\/em> way shows its importance to you<\/em>. It\u2019s recommendable to take a good look at it. Again and again.<\/p>\n

At a deeper level, it is always you<\/em> who are putting it in the way.<\/p>\n

Horizontal, vertical<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The horizontal should especially not be put in the way of the vertical. Signs for example: X standing for Y as Y can stand for X with no loss of information. [see: \u201cSymbols and Signs<\/a>\u201d]<\/p>\n

In case of X <-> Y in symbolism, the X would be radically different.<\/p>\n

At a deeper level, the symbol is about you (total self).<\/strong><\/p>\n

YOU are what any true symbol ultimately points to. Experiencing this is amenable to bringing the symbol closer to you [see: \u201cA Symbol Is Always YOU<\/a>\u201d].<\/p>\n

Main \u2018thing\u2019 standing in the way: ego<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ego-humility is necessary for symbolism to work. The deeper self needs to be touched. Ego may (try to) prevent this. It\u2019s most resourceful. It might come disguised as deeper self.<\/p>\n

Ego = quick and dirty, object-like associations. Especially when comparing: Is he better? Is this worse? Am \u2018I\u2019 at the center? Does the world revolve around me?<\/p>\n

Of course, ego may be present in a friendly<\/em> way.<\/p>\n

Related to meditation: opening yourself<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Opening yourself is a perfect invitation.<\/p>\n

Meditation as I see it is about opening yourself: letting more profound associative work happen inside yourself. Letting \u2018grow\u2019 deeper meaning.<\/p>\n

Anything that invokes a meditative mindset is positive to the symbolic experience. Silence of the mind. A feeling of \u2013 deep \u2013 well-being. Shutting out possible frustrations.<\/p>\n

A symbol is a symbol of a symbol.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Thus: a direction, never reaching an endpoint. If there is a conceptual end, then it\u2019s not a symbol. So, do not search for any endpoint, not even one that you might \u2018be allowed to choose for yourself\u2019.<\/p>\n

Accept. Try to let it<\/em> come to you<\/em>. If it doesn\u2019t, then this specific symbol is not a symbol to you.<\/p>\n

“Here I am. It is OK.”<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What is OK? Anything.<\/p>\n

So, don\u2019t put repetitiveness in the way. Nor \u2018performing correct rituals.\u2019 Nor the reverse. Nor anything else.<\/p>\n

A deeper striving to do your best may be most important of all.<\/p>\n
