Moreover: it\u2019s not even rational. Thus, better call it \u2018rationality\u2019 (between brackets).<\/h3>\n<p>[see: \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/aurelis.org\/blog?p=1309\">AURELIS USP: \u2018100% Rationality, 100% Depth\u2019<\/a>]<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Rationality is not only about concepts<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Of course, conceptual thinking is of huge importance. No doubt. However, <em>through<\/em> correct conceptual thinking, one can arrive at its own limits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100% conceptual thinking \u2013 apart from mathematics, arguably \u2013 is not humanly possible. [see: \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/aurelis.org\/blog?p=1424\">About Concepts<\/a>\u2019]<\/li>\n<li>There is a realm of reality that cannot be fully conceptually grasped. [see: \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/aurelis.org\/blog?p=1420\">About \u2018Subconceptual\u2019<\/a>]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rationality is \u2013 by definition \u2013 about taking into account reality as a whole. Thus, the borders of <em>conceptuality<\/em> are not the borders of <em>rationality<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Think \u2018poetry\u2019 (in general, not only poems). Rationality is also about this.<\/p>\n<p>Do you think poetry exists?<\/p>\n<p>Well then: poetry is precisely <em>beyond<\/em> conceptuality. This is even <em>why<\/em> it exists.<\/p>\n<p>Thus:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>One should not equivocate \u2018rationality\u2019 with \u2018getting rid of poetry\u2019.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Half a rationality is no rationality at all.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Getting rid of poetry\u2019 is only what it directly means: \u2018getting rid of\u2019. I hope, dear reader, that you don\u2019t abuse rationality for such a meager endeavor.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Nevertheless, I do see it being abused this way<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>even by people who are otherwise rational.<\/p>\n<p>This abuse is plainly not rational. The result is <strong><u>ir<\/u><\/strong>rationality. Because this may nevertheless seem so close to rationality, let\u2019s put the term \u2018rationality\u2019 between brackets to denote a lack of poetry inside:<\/p>\n<p><em>Rationality MINUS poetry IS \u2018rationality\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Unfortunately, \u2018rationality\u2019 is a huge source of dividedness, worldwide.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>People who value poetry and see \u2018rationality\u2019 being used as an instrument for abusing the same, may turn away from rationality (without brackets) altogether.<\/p>\n<p>Simply put, they:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>equivocate rationality with \u2018rationality\u2019<\/li>\n<li>see the abuse of poetry through \u2018rationality\u2019<\/li>\n<li>turn away from rationality.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<blockquote><p><strong>How pitiful is this?<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And with huge consequences\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, I see as one of the most appalling consequences: many people (+\/- 6 billion, more precisely) are stuck between one\u2019s own deeply felt \u2013 and valuable \u2013 religious feelings and the necessity to believe in some Santa Claus stuff.<\/p>\n<p>Because \u2018rationality\u2019 cannot manage depth, eventually depth has mainly irrational outlets\u2026<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s even worse if \u2018rational\u2019 people point their finger to depth as source of irrationality.<\/p>\n<p><em>The<\/em> source of course is multi-faceted, including \u2018rationality\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Intercultural divides.
