Human-centered A.I. (HAI) emphasizes human strength, health, and well-being. To be durably so, it must be Compassionate, basically<\/a>, \u2015 properly taking into account human complexity; this is: the total person.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The total person comprises the conceptual and subconceptual<\/a> mind \u2015 way beyond classical humanism and a lingering body-mind divide.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

From the inside out<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As neurocognitive science shows us, the human being \u2013 especially in mind matters \u2013 is more complex than ever imagined. Discovering this complexity is like finding a universe inside \u2015 a new Copernican revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking this into account also means emphasizing change from the inside out \u2015 this is: growth, in which the complexity takes care of itself. Trying to manage it from the outside is always more challenging than it appears. This may be the main reason for difficulties in chronic psycho-somatic healthcare, for instance. Time and again, complexity trumps the best conceptual science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High potentials<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we want A.I. to reach its potential in helping us in anything mind-related, we especially need it to take care of our own complexities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, HAI is oriented toward the best we can be. It helps us mentally grow \u2015 relief of suffering and fostering growth being two inextricable sides of Compassion<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
